The Town offers twelve health insurance plans through the GIC (Group Insurance Commission). The HMO plans have an 84% Town Contribution, and the PPO plans have a 75% Town Contribution.

The Town offers three Deferred Compensation Plans:
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts 457 Deferred Compensation Plan is administered through the SMART Plan. This plan offers immediate eligibility, convenient payroll deduction with pre-tax dollars and is designed to provide a meaningful supplement to other retirement plans and savings accounts.
The Town also offers ICMA-RC which is a private company. They offer 457 plans as well as ROTH IRA’s. You may also borrow against your retirement account and repay your loan through payroll deductions.
We also offer AXA Advisors which offer a high quality retirement plan which offers a wide selection of investment options and strategies for a variety of investor types, from beginner to the most knowledgeable; easy access to transactions and records; personalized enrollment and education assistance; one-on-one service for transitional employees and pre-retirees provided by the financial professional.

The Town offers a program through which employees can take advantage of special group rates on Auto, Home, and Renter’s Insurance. Multi-policy discounts are available. Liberty Mutual offers convenient payment plans including EFT, payroll deduction or Direct Billing to your home.


During designated enrollment periods, the Town offers discounted membership fees to all employees. The promotional periods will be announced by Human Resources and enrollment will take place in the Human Resources office at the Memorial Building. (This special offer is NOT available online or at BJ’s Wholesale Club locations)


The Town offers employees discounted rates on specified new plan agreements as well as discounted rates to existing customers. Employees receive a 15% discount on plans of $34.99 and above. This benefit also includes great savings on new phones and accessories.
